Robert "Dubs" Young

Dubs comes from a family of fisherman.  Dubs' first job as a fishing guide was 15 years ago when a fishing lodge manager came to Dubs' father, a commercial fisherman, looking for a fill in guide.  The older Mr. Young was too busy to help out but offered his 16 year old son for the day.  Dubs did so well that the fishing lodge asked him to come back the next day.  He has been working as a guide on the Turneffe Atoll ever since and wants his son to follow in his footsteps.  Dubs loves hunting for feeding permit and his easy going, friendly personality, make him a pleasure to spend the day with.  Dubs lives in Belize City with his wife and six children.

In Memory of Jorge Morales

September 9, 1950 - December 23, 2007

Our friend Jorge was born and raised in Belize City. His first job was as a ships carpenter with his father, but a high school friend recommended that he become a fishing guide. That recommendation lead to his 25 years of guiding on the Turneffe Atoll. Jorge's energy level and enthusiasm was contagious and will be missed by all those that were fortunate enough to have met him.
